Delivery Information

South Towns Appliance provides professional in-home delivery in the Western New York area. Delivery is available Monday through Saturday.

Message for Online Shoppers:
Customers placing online orders will be contacted within 24 hours for orders placed Sunday thru Thursday and on the following Monday for orders placed on Friday or Saturday to verify if the merchandise is in stock and schedule their delivery date, as well as to process payment.



GENERAL INFORMATION

Arrival of Delivery Team:

Due to traffic conditions, weather conditions, and routing we cannot predict your exact delivery time. Our delivery team will contact you on the morning of delivery between 8AM and 9:45AM to provide you with a 2 hour time window to expect delivery. If requested we will call you up to 1 hour prior to the delivery team's arrival. Please provide a secondary phone number where you may be contacted if necessary.


Leveling:

Our delivery team will level your new appliance to the existing floor surface, however, they will not place blocks, shims, etc. under the wheels or feet of any appliance in order to achieve a leveled appliance.

Empty Boxes & Packing Material:

Our delivery team will remove any boxes and packing material from the home.

Payment on Delivery:

COD's are accepted at the time of delivery in the form of cash, local check, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. Proper ID will be required.



CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

Path of Delivery:

Please make sure that the route to the location of the new appliance is clear of all obstructions which could impede the delivery team or cause injury. This includes clearing the driveway and entrance to your home of moving/building/remodeling debris, ice, snow, mud, furniture, etc.

Alterations to Your Home:

Removing door jambs, door casings, molding, railings, etc. required to clear the path of delivery must be completed before the arrival of our delivery team. The team is not permitted to alter your home in any way. Please do not ask them to.

EXCEPTION: If necessary, our delivery team will remove standard doors to accommodate the new appliance.

OLD APPLIANCE REMOVAL / RELOCATION

Our delivery team will remove and haul away from your home your old appliance(s) on a one-for-one basis. (i.e. new washer, old washer. NOT new washer, old freezer) OR upon request we will relocate your old appliance to another location on the same floor of your home (ie., garage; excludes basement), or take it to the curb. Our delivery team WILL NOT transport your old appliance to another address different from your delivery address.

Old appliances will not be disassembled nor will alterations be made to your home in order to remove an old appliance.

The delivery team will not reconnect old appliances (water, gas, or electrical connections) when relocating them on your premises.

Refrigerator or Freezer Removal:

Please remove any food. It is not necessary to defrost but is appreciated. Do not unplug or shut off the old unit. If the unit is connected to an existing water line it must be disconnected prior to delivery.

Dryer Removal:

Please remove all laundry from old machine.

Clothes Washer Removal:

Please remove all laundry from old machine
Please remove any water and/or laundry from the machine.



Dishwasher Removal:

Please remove all laundry from old machine
Unit must be disconnected and removed from under the counter.



BUILT-IN APPLIANCES

The following appliances and/or services are considered "Built-In" and will not be installed or connected by our delivery team. Arrangements can be made for installation through All Appliance Parts and Service or an independent contractor for an additional charge. Call us at (716) 649-4800, ext. 3 for recommendations.

RANGES

Electric Ranges:

The manufacturer does not provide a new 240V electrical cord with new electric ranges. If you purchase a new appropriate cord at the point of sale our delivery team will attach the new cord, plug it in to an appropriate accessible 240V outlet, set the range in place, and level the range to the existing floor surface. Our delivery team will not "HARD WIRE" an electric range or use an old cord to install the new range. Please do not ask them to do so.

Gas Ranges:

The manufacturer does not provide a new flexible gas connector with new gas ranges. If you purchase a new appropriate connector at the point of sale our delivery team will attach one end of the connector to the range and the other end to your rigid black steel supply pipe, check for leaks, plug in the 120V cord to an appropriate accessible grounded outlet, set the range in place, and level it to the existing floor surface. Our delivery team will not reconnect a new gas range to copper or aluminum gas supply lines nor will we connect a new gas range to an existing gas supply line without a shut-off valve or reconnect a new gas range using an old previously used flexible connector. Please do not ask them to do so.



REFRIGERATORS & FREEZERS

Our delivery team will set your new refrigerator or freezer in place, plug it in to an appropriate accessible grounded 110V outlet, level it to the existing floor surface, and set the controls. The new unit will take approximately 1 hour to get cold and up to 24 hours to reach the set operating temperature. Please do not fill the new refrigerator or freezer to capacity for twenty-fours after installation.

Door Reversals:

If requested at time of sale the door swing on your new top or bottom mount refrigerator will be reversed by our delivery team. Door reversal is not possible on all models; please ask your sales representative or call our store at (716) 649-4800, ext. 3 for compatibility and pricing. If you require a door reversal after your delivery day a service technician will be dispatched for an additional charge.


LAUNDRY

Washers:

The South Towns Appliance delivery team will set your new washer in place, connect the new hoses to your existing hot and cold water supply faucets, hang the drain hose on your washtub, and level the machine to your existing floor surface. Wood pallets and cement blocks are not suitable surfaces for proper performance of your machine.
During outside temperatures freezing or below an 8 hour "warm up" period is required before the first use of your new washer.

Electric Dryers:

The manufacturer does not provide a new 240V electrical cord with new electric dryers. If you purchase a new appropriate cord at the point of sale our delivery team will attach the new cord, plug it in to an appropriate accessible 240V outlet, set the dryer in place, and level the dryer to the existing floor surface. Our delivery team will not "HARD WIRE" an electric dryer or use an old cord to install the new dryer. Please do not ask them to do so.

Dryer Venting:

Our delivery team will reconnect your existing metal venting (plastic venting is not acceptable) to the new dryer, provided the venting is of adequate length & diameter and lint-free. New venting is available for purchase at time of sale as well as at the time of delivery.
